# Animater

> AI motion design tool that clones your live webpage and animates it into a finished MP4 video with voiceover, music, and sound effects.

Animater is an AI-powered motion design tool that captures your live product page — preserving real fonts, colors, and every addressable element — and animates it into a polished launch film. It exports finished MP4 videos in 1080p or 4K, complete with voiceover, background music, and sound effects, ready for websites, social media, or the App Store.

## What It Is

Animater sits at the intersection of AI coding agents and professional motion design. Rather than generating generic animations from scratch, it clones a live URL and applies a structured "motion grammar" — a director-style system of 90 codified motion laws, camera moves, mask reveals, staggered entrances, and film-grade finishes like motion blur, depth of field, light leaks, and grain. The result is a scored, broadcast-mastered video verified frame by frame before export.

## How the Workflow Works

The core workflow follows four steps the product page describes as "Capture. Animate. Sound. Export.":

- **Capture** — Animater clones a live webpage, pulling real fonts, colors, and layout elements into an addressable editor environment.
- **Animate** — A coding agent (Claude Code or OpenAI Codex, running on the user's own subscription) drives the animation from a chat interface inside the editor.
- **Sound** — Voiceover, background music, and sound effects are layered in; sound effects and mixing are included, while music and voiceover consume audio credits.
- **Export** — The finished film renders as an MP4 at 1080p or 4K depending on the plan.

## Agent-Driven Architecture

Animater is explicitly a bring-your-own-AI product. Animation is driven by Claude Code or Codex running on the user's existing subscription — Animater does not bill for AI compute. The editor exposes a single chat box where the agent directs the full animation sequence. The product page notes Cursor support is coming soon.

## Motion Grammar and Scoring

The director system follows what the product describes as a "launch-film grammar": a hook-to-CTA arc, 15/30/60-second playbooks, a 14-scene menu, and 90 motion laws benchmarked against product films. Every output is scored, mastered to broadcast loudness standards, and frame-verified before delivery. Supported animation styles shown in the editor include typography, 3D, data visualization, logo reveals, audio-reactive sequences, and Lottie exports.

## Current Status

Animater launched publicly with a 7-day free trial on all plans and a desktop download available at animater.ai/download. The product page acknowledges it is new ("We're new, so we wrote the reviews ourselves"), and several footer links — including Documentation, Motion laws, Changelog, and Careers — are not yet live. Cursor agent support is listed as coming soon.
