Brello is a monitoring service for AI provider API keys, currently in early access. It reads usage and cost data from providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic, learns normal usage per key, and alerts users when spend looks unusual.

## What It Is

Brello is an AI spend and key-leak monitor. Users connect their providers, and Brello imports usage history and tracks token counts, cost per key, model names and timing. It does not sit in the request path or act as a proxy, so a Brello alert does not shut down the user's app. According to the FAQ, it does not collect prompts, outputs or request bodies.

## How the Monitoring Workflow Works

The site describes four steps: connect providers, learn normal usage, catch anomalies, and respond with next steps. Providers are checked periodically rather than per request, and alerts go to a configured webhook or email within minutes of detection. Some providers expose per-key usage only through an admin key, so Brello recommends creating a separate key just for it. The dashboard flags unused keys and suggests savings, such as using a Batch API, caching input or trying a smaller model.

## Incident Help and Free Scan

A free scan checks existing usage once for unusual spend and gives shareable results. For keys that have already leaked, Brello's help service organizes usage and charge evidence, prepares the first message to the provider and keeps replies together. It does not promise refunds, which are the provider's decision.

## Current Status

Brello is in early access, and the FAQ says planned pricing may change before launch. OpenAI and Anthropic are the currently supported providers, with more planned.
