# Cadeo

Cadeo is a productivity workspace that brings tasks, notes, calendar and meetings into one app, available on web, macOS and iOS. It offers an AI Plan My Day feature and the option to run AI locally via Ollama. It is currently in beta.

## What It Is

Cadeo combines four tools in one connected workspace: Tasks & Projects (natural-language capture, timeline scheduling, kanban boards, Areas of Responsibility), a Notes editor with 22 block types, a Calendar with Google and Apple Calendar sync, and Meetings with recording and transcription. Items link across these tools, so a task can originate from a meeting note and a note can be tied to a project.

## How the AI Planning Works

Plan My Day reads tasks, deadlines and calendar, then drafts a schedule around meetings. Each suggested block can be accepted, swapped, shortened or skipped. Smart Areas suggests an Area of Responsibility for each task as it is captured, which the user can accept or dismiss. AI can also spot tasks inside notes and suggest links between related items.

## Meetings and Search

A calendar-aware alert shows agenda and attendees before a meeting and offers one-click recording. Cadeo captures mic or system audio, produces a transcript with speaker identification and an AI summary, and can turn decisions into tasks. A ⌘K command bar runs hybrid semantic and keyword search across tasks, notes and projects.

## Privacy and Assistant Access

Cadeo says its on-device AI runs locally with Ollama, keeping AI chats and recordings on the machine and supporting offline search with local embeddings. The macOS app supports offline AI; the web app requires a connection. Cadeo also supports the Model Context Protocol, letting assistants such as Claude read or, if permitted, change tasks via a revocable token with read-only or read-write scope. It has no delete tool. This is a Pro beta feature.
