Founded in 2026 and based in Seattle, it hosts each app at a real link, keeps its data, and lets the owner choose who can view, use, or edit it. The product is delivered as a hosted MCP server plus a web interface.

## What It Is

Charming is a hosting and sharing platform for small apps that an AI assistant writes. The user asks a connected assistant for an app, Charming stores and publishes it, and a link comes back that works in the browser and on a phone. Each app gets its own storage, so no database or backend setup is needed. Apps stay private until shared.

## How the workflow runs

The user connects Charming to a supported assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI, OpenClaw and others) and describes the app. The assistant builds it and shows it inline in the conversation. Later changes are requested in chat and update the app at the same link while data is kept. Saved versions can be restored.

## Sharing and access

Owners invite people by email with view, use (add and change data), or edit (change how the app works) access. Apps can also be made public, published as copyable templates, or remixed. Pro adds custom domains. A team offering lists SOC 2 Type II, an audit log and enterprise SSO, according to the vendor.

## MCP server and tooling

The open-source MCP server (MIT licensed) exposes 37 tools covering app creation, updates, source retrieval, sharing, templates, scheduled routines, webhooks, feedback and documentation lookup. Connection uses OAuth with dynamic client registration over a streamable HTTP endpoint. An optional authoring skill can be installed for coding agents.
