# Claude Design

Claude Design is an Anthropic Labs research preview that turns natural-language conversation into polished design work — prototypes, slide decks, one-pagers, landing pages, and interactive microsites. Instead of starting in Figma or Canva and building screen by screen, you describe what you need, Claude builds a first version, and you refine from there through comments, direct edits, or custom sliders.

## How it works

**Pick a starting point.** Create a new prototype (wireframe or high-fidelity), a slide deck, something from a template, or an "other" project. You can kick off from a text prompt, upload images and documents (DOCX, PPTX, XLSX), point Claude at a codebase, or use the web capture tool to pull elements directly from a live site so prototypes match the real product.

**Refine with fine-grained controls.** Comment inline on specific elements, edit text directly, or drag adjustment knobs to tweak spacing, color, and layout live. Ask Claude to apply a change across the full design in one go.

**Bring your brand.** During onboarding, Claude reads your codebase and design files to build an organization-level design system — colors, typography, components, patterns. Every subsequent project reuses that system automatically. Teams can maintain more than one system for different brands or sub-teams.

## Export and handoff

Designs can be shared as internal URLs, saved as a folder, exported to Canva for further editing, or exported to PDF, PPTX, or standalone HTML. When a design is production-ready, Claude packages the intent into a handoff bundle that slots straight into Claude Code with a single instruction.

## Collaboration

Documents are organization-scoped by default — keep them private, share a view link within the org, or grant edit access so teammates can modify the design and talk to Claude together in a group chat.

## Availability and pricing

Claude Design runs at claude.ai/design. It is powered by Claude Opus 4.7, Anthropic's most capable vision model, and is available in research preview to Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers. Access is included with your Claude plan, metered separately from chat and Claude Code, with weekly allowances per user and the option to purchase extra usage. On Enterprise, it is off by default and admins enable it in organization settings.
