# DxxpCode

> An AI coding agent delivered as a desktop app for Linux, macOS, and Windows.

DxxpCode is a desktop AI coding agent with a bundled native engine. The official homepage currently links desktop v0.2.5 installers for macOS Apple Silicon, Windows x64, and Linux. Its source repository redirects to dxxpcode/dxxpcode and declares Apache License 2.0.

## Agent workflow

The agent follows Context → Plan → Tools → Verify → Result. It inspects the project, proposes a plan when appropriate, edits files and runs commands, and uses the project’s test command to verify the result. The app includes file mentions, a command palette, sessions that can be resumed, mid-run steering, and clickable approvals.

## Models and costs

Users configure an Anthropic or OpenAI account/key, or an OpenAI-compatible endpoint such as OpenRouter or a local server. The app bundles the runtime; a separate Node setup is not required for the packaged app. Provider usage and subscriptions remain separate from the app’s software license.

## Architecture

The current desktop app uses Tauri and React with a Rust sidecar agent. The dxxpcode binary can also run standalone for scripting. The older TypeScript terminal implementation remains in the repository as legacy code. The homepage separately links a Developer API site; it should not be confused with the desktop app’s own documentation or included model service.
