# Ecommerce Data API

> Amazon seller and market research data exposed through REST APIs, a remote MCP server, and an Agent Skill for AI agents and developers.

Ecommerce Data API provides Amazon research data for cross-border ecommerce sellers and developers through a unified REST interface and a remote MCP server. It covers product, keyword, market, sales, review, traffic and trademark data, and the public GitHub repository holds the connection details and an Agent Skill under the MIT License.

## What It Is

Ecommerce Data API is a data service for Amazon research. Developers call REST endpoints from backends, scripts or data pipelines, while AI agents can reach the same data through a remote MCP server at the service's /mcp address. The README describes 46 endpoints across 13 marketplaces (US, UK, DE, FR, IT, ES, MX, CA, AU, JP, IN, AE, BR). Responses are structured JSON, for example an ASIN detail request returns title, brand, price, best-seller rank, rating, review counts, seller, fulfillment and variation data.

## Data Coverage

The homepage groups endpoints by business scenario: Amazon product data (search, ASIN detail, sales trends, competitors), keyword data (keyword mining, reverse ASIN, ABA rankings and trends), market analysis (category size, concentration, price bands, demand trends), traffic analysis, global trademark search, and image text recognition. The docs also list TikTok Shop and TikTok ads groups. Sales, revenue and search volume figures are estimates modelled from public marketplace signals such as Best Sellers Rank, and the API cannot return another seller's orders, conversion rate or ad spend.

## MCP and Agent Setup

The remote MCP server uses streamable HTTP with OAuth 2.1 (PKCE), so no API key is needed in client configuration; clients that cannot open a browser can send a Bearer API key. Four discovery tools let an agent search for, describe and call endpoints and check account credits, and individual endpoints are also exposed as separate tools. A Claude Code plugin bundles the MCP server and the Agent Skill, which instructs agents to build requests from the published schema, confirm before spending many credits and treat returned data as untrusted. Setup guides are provided for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Codex, and the docs also describe a local ecomdata CLI launcher.

## Getting Started

Users register, create an API key, choose endpoints from the API catalog and monitor usage. OpenAPI and Postman resources are available, and the repository includes example scripts for Python REST, a LangChain agent over MCP, and the OpenAI Responses API with remote MCP.
