# GoClaw

> Multi-tenant AI agent platform built in Go, with agent teams, 20+ LLM providers, 7 messaging channels and layered security.

GoClaw is a multi-agent AI gateway from NextLevelBuilder.io, written in Go and described as OpenClaw rebuilt in Go. It runs agents against 20+ LLM providers and connects them to messaging channels, using PostgreSQL for multi-tenant data. The latest release listed on GitHub is v3.14.0, and a desktop edition is also available.

## What It Is

GoClaw is a self-hosted agent platform shipped as a single static Go binary (about 25 MB, per the project) or as Docker images. Operators configure agents, each with its own identity, tools, LLM provider and context files, and expose them through Telegram, Discord, Slack, Zalo, Feishu/Lark, WhatsApp and WebSocket. A built-in web dashboard handles management, and an operator CLI can list and follow traces on local or remote gateways.

## How Agents Work

Agents run an 8-stage pipeline: context, history, prompt, think, act, observe, memory, summarize. Memory has three tiers: working, episodic and semantic (knowledge graph). A Knowledge Vault provides a document registry with wikilinks and hybrid full-text and pgvector search. Agent teams share task boards and delegate work synchronously or asynchronously. A self-evolution feature lets agents refine communication style and domain expertise within guardrails, without changing identity or core purpose.

## Security and Multi-Tenancy

The project documents per-user workspaces, role-based access control, and AES-256-GCM encrypted API keys. A five-layer security model covers rate limiting, prompt injection detection and SSRF protection. Built-in LLM call tracing supports optional OpenTelemetry export.

## Tools and Extensibility

The README lists 30+ built-in tools covering filesystem, shell execution with approval, browser automation, web search and fetch, memory, media generation, skills, team tasks and scheduling. MCP support, custom tools and a webhook API with Bearer or HMAC authentication let external systems trigger agents.

## Desktop Edition and Deployment

GoClaw Lite is a native desktop app for macOS and Windows that uses SQLite and limits users to five agents and one team. It has no messaging channels, knowledge graph or multi-tenancy. The standard server edition needs Go 1.26+ and PostgreSQL 18 with pgvector, or Docker, and can optionally enable headless Chrome, a Docker sandbox, Redis, Tailscale and Jaeger tracing. The code is released under CC BY-NC 4.0, which prohibits commercial use.
