MEGA is an online program published by BRAVE and Badass Courses for developers who already build with AI. The first cohort runs Oct 26 – Nov 22, 2026, with 20 lessons and 4 live workshops taught by Kent C. Dodds, Angie Jones, John Lindquist, and Theo Browne, and architected by Adam Gospodarczyk.

## What It Is

MEGA is a cohort-based course on the engineering layer around AI agents. It targets mid-level and senior developers already working with agents such as Cursor, Codex, or Claude Code, and focuses on systems rather than prompting tricks. Each lesson combines a video, a written companion, and a real repository, with one live workshop per week.

## Four-Week Curriculum

- Week 1, Core: models, context, knowledge systems, harnesses, and workflows.
- Week 2, Agents: agent loop, tool design, MCP, Agent Skills, multi-agent collaboration (A2A), guardrails, evals, and observability.
- Week 3, Product: translating intent into agent work, AI-native product development, verification and quality gates, and feedback loops after release.
- Week 4, Takeoff: autonomous systems, portable agent control planes, orchestrating agent teams, automation beyond code, and self-improving engineering systems.

## Skill Cards and Certificate

The program defines twelve themes, each tied to a skill card that participants earn and keep as installable, usable assets. Collecting all twelve earns the MEGA Developer certificate. An agent-driven assessment prompt fetches mega.dev/challenge.md to give feedback on how a developer works with agents.

## Community and Developer Resources

Participants get a Discord community with the authors and 12 months of access to materials. The site also exposes developer resources for agents: an Operator API with an OpenAPI contract, a remote MCP endpoint with OAuth discovery, an API catalog, a Drops authoring brief, and a `mega` CLI.
