# MiniUp

MiniUp is a publishing and app-building platform that turns pasted HTML, uploaded projects or ZIPs, datasets, or an AI conversation into a live app on a miniup.app link. The same publish can serve people, software through APIs, and AI clients through MCP, with access rules applied across all of them.

## What It Is

MiniUp lets users paste HTML or upload a folder or ZIP and publish without hosting knowledge, choosing an app name and optional password protection. Simple content can stay a static site; tables, datasets, backend functions, and member login are added when the app needs them. Published links stay stable when files or records are updated.

## Data, APIs and Functions

Uploading a CSV or Excel file creates a live Table API with auto-generated docs, an OpenAPI file, per-method toggles, and write-key protection. Signed-in users can convert CSV, XLSX, JSON, GeoJSON, shapefile ZIP and other files to Parquet or GeoParquet, create refreshable Data Sources, and browse hosted datasets in a Data Catalog. MiniUp Functions are server-side JavaScript that can run as Public, API Key, or Site Members endpoints, with draft testing, secrets, and persistent Function Memory.

## Access and Members

Sites can be Public, password-protected, Invite-only, or Private. Site owners invite members as Admin, Editor, or Viewer, and linked Site Functions receive the authenticated user's identity and role, but each backend route must enforce its own authorization.

## AI and ChatGPT Workflow

Apps with enabled actions can become tools for compatible AI clients such as ChatGPT and Claude through MCP. The MiniUp app in ChatGPT can build and publish apps from uploaded files or approved Dataset Bundles, and PDF Knowledge Packs convert PDFs into app-ready content plus an App Prompt for coding AIs.
