# NabuSQL

NabuSQL is a desktop database client built by Nabukodonozor d.o.o. of Zagreb, Croatia. It connects to MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, SQLite and SQL Server from one interface and runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. The vendor says it is built with Rust and Tauri and works fully offline.

## What It Is

NabuSQL is a database manager for developers, admins and data people. Connections to all five engines appear side by side in one tree, with SSL/TLS and SSH tunnelling (including key-based authentication). A SQL editor runs whole scripts or selections, shows execution plans, formats SQL and keeps a searchable history. A visual query builder is also offered.

## Working With Data

A grid view lets users browse, filter, sort and edit records inline. Selections can be copied out as INSERT, UPDATE or TSV. Data can be imported from CSV, Excel or JSON and exported to CSV, JSON, SQL and other formats. A data transfer tool copies tables, views, stored procedures and functions between engines, for example MySQL to PostgreSQL or SQLite to SQL Server.

## AI Assistant and Knowledge Lab

The SQL editor can send a plain-language question to an AI model and return ready SQL. Users supply their own key for OpenAI, Anthropic or Google Gemini, or point it at any OpenAI-compatible endpoint, including a local Ollama. It stays off until configured. The docs also describe a Knowledge Lab that turns the result of a SQL query into knowledge a local language model can recall.

## Setup Path

Installers are offered for Windows (.exe), macOS Apple Silicon (.dmg), Debian/Ubuntu (.deb), Fedora/RHEL (.rpm) and a Linux AppImage. The trial needs no registration. The license is tied to a machine ID shown in the app under Help → License. The vendor's comparison with other database tools is its own claim and is based on its own review of competitor information.
