# NanoGPT

NanoGPT is a web-based AI aggregator that puts chat, image, video and audio models from many providers behind one interface and one balance. Users can start with an anonymous local session, with no account required, and developers can use an OpenAI-compatible API. Support is available through email, Discord and private tickets.

## What It Is

NanoGPT lets users chat with text models, generate images and videos in a Media page, and use audio features, choosing from many providers' models rather than managing separate accounts. An Auto Model option selects a Basic, Standard or Premium model tier for each prompt. Usage is paid from a balance funded by card or supported crypto, and a subscription option also exists.

## Privacy and Data Handling

Chats are stored locally in the browser by default, and NanoGPT states it does not train on user data. Optional cloud sync can be configured in Settings. A Private Mode for private-capable models verifies a Tinfoil enclave and encrypts requests in the browser or a local proxy. NanoGPT describes Zero Data Retention routing as best-effort, depending on provider claims.

## Workspace, Memory and Media

The Workspace groups chats, files, notes and tasks into projects. Context memory and saved memories can carry information across chats. Image models support text-to-image and some image-to-image or editing workflows, and video models can support image-to-video. PDFs can be uploaded in chat, with text extraction for models lacking native PDF input.

## API and Integrations

The API offers Chat Completions, Responses and Anthropic Messages-compatible endpoints, plus prompt caching, reasoning controls and optional request logging. Integration guides cover JanitorAI, SillyTavern, OpenCode, OpenWebUI, Cursor, Cline, Codex CLI and Claude Code. A browser assistant for Chrome and Firefox and an installable Progressive Web App are also offered.
