# NetPilot

> AI agent that designs, builds, and validates real multi-vendor network labs from plain-English prompts.

NetPilot, made by NetPilot LLC, is an AI network engineering agent that turns a plain-English description or imported device configs into a deployed multi-vendor lab with real device CLIs. Users SSH into the devices from the browser to verify the results. It also offers Agent Studio and custom-built agents for network engineering workflows.

## What It Is

NetPilot is a cloud-hosted (or on-prem) network lab and agent platform built on ContainerLab. The agent designs the topology, including IP addressing and protocol relationships, writes per-vendor configs, and deploys real network operating system containers rather than simulations. Nokia SR Linux, FRR, and Linux are built in. Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Aruba, Dell, and SONiC run via bring-your-own-image (BYOI).

## Workflow and Outputs

A user describes or imports a network, and the agent deploys the lab, then checks routing tables, adjacencies, and reachability. It can generate iperf3 traffic and test failover. Multi-turn requests such as moving OSPF to another area update all affected devices. Labs can be saved as templates, and topologies can be exported as Cisco Packet Tracer .pkt files. Importing production configs creates a digital twin for change validation before production.

## Agent Studio and Custom Agents

Agent Studio lets teams write instructions, choose a model and tool families, and share agents privately or with a team. For enterprise customers, NetPilot says it builds the agent, harness, and tools, tests them on real network OSes, and delivers them with a money-back success milestone.

## Integrations and Deployment

NetPilot is MCP-connectable both ways. External agents such as Claude or Cursor can drive its MCP server, and its agent connects to systems like NetBox, Nautobot, and Nornir (read-only show commands). Deployment options are NetPilot cloud, a dedicated environment, self-hosted/on-prem, or air-gapped with a local LLM.
