# pi-extensions by Pringled

> A set of minimal, individually installable extensions that improve the Pi coding agent's interface and workflow.

pi-extensions by Pringled is a collection of small extensions for the Pi coding agent, published by Thomas van Dongen under the MIT license. Each extension installs on its own through `pi install` from npm. The README says most are under 300 lines with no dependencies.

## What It Is

The repository is a monorepo of Pi extension packages grouped into three categories: look and feel, workflow, and helpers. The author says all of them are part of his daily setup, and each can be adopted separately to fit a personal workflow.

## Look and Feel

`pi-polish` gives Pi Claude Code-style tool rows and diffs. `pi-context-bar` adds a one-line footer showing the model, git branch, a context bar and cost.

## Workflow Extensions

`pi-background` adds background jobs and a bash timeout so Pi does not block or hang. `pi-checkpoints` rewinds the files Pi edited along with the conversation. `pi-model-pick` provides a model picker that lists favorite and recent models first.

## Helper Extensions

`pi-next-prompt` suggests the next prompt in grey after each reply. `pi-away` shows a one-line recap of the session when you return. `pi-heads-up` flags the one thing you might have missed after a task.
