# Rezoom

> A native Qt6/KF6 desktop app that lists every Claude Code, Codex, ssh, tmux and shell session as a resumable chat with live status.

Rezoom is an open-source desktop session manager from BEX-Robotics that gathers AI coding agent sessions, ssh connections, tmux sessions and shells into one chat-style list. It is written in C++ with Qt6 and KDE Frameworks 6, follows the KDE light/dark theme, and embeds real Konsole terminals. The latest listed release is v1.2.0.

## What It Is

Rezoom is a session manager for terminal-based AI coding agents. Each agent or shell session appears as a chat showing what it is doing now, what it last said, and a one-click way to bring it back. For Claude Code it reads the registry Claude already writes in `~/.claude/sessions/` to show live state (working, waiting, frozen), titles and output. Codex sessions are found in history, adopted and resumed with `codex resume`. Other CLI agents such as aider, Gemini CLI and opencode run as terminal chats and can be resumed through a command template in Settings.

## Session Workflow

Every chat stores the exact command that brings it back, and running sessions are restored when Rezoom starts, including after a crash. Search matches names, titles, messages and folders. A session running in another Konsole window can be moved into Rezoom live using reptyr, and chats can be floated into tabbed windows whose layout survives restarts. Rezoom flags suspended sessions, sessions with no transcript progress for two hours, and ended ssh connections with a Reconnect bar. An optional Claude Code Notification hook marks sessions frozen on a usage limit in red with the reset time. Chats can run under separate Claude accounts, and everything has a Ctrl+Shift keyboard chord.

## Remote and CLI Use

An ssh command typed in a pane is remembered as the way back in to that chat. Scan remote lists claude and tmux sessions on a host and adopts each, resuming over ssh. Nothing connects until you click. A `rezoom-cli` tool provides list, resume, adopt-running and prune commands.

## Privacy and Setup

The README states Rezoom runs entirely on the local machine and never calls an API. It reads Claude's files and writes only its own, apart from two opt-in exceptions: the freeze-detection hook and skipping the trust-folder prompt. Packages are provided for Debian/Ubuntu 25.04 or newer, with spec and PKGBUILD files for Fedora/openSUSE and Arch, plus build-from-source instructions for Linux and macOS. On macOS, chats open in Terminal.app windows, and beam-in and go-to-window features are Linux-only.
