# ShipStatic

ShipStatic is a static site hosting service operated by Enhanced SRL. Users drop a folder, ZIP, or files in the browser, or deploy from a CLI, SDK, or AI agent, and the site goes live on a shipstatic.com address without an account. The open-source CLI and SDK (MIT licensed) are published as @shipstatic/ship.

## What It Is

ShipStatic hosts static files: HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other output generated by AI coding tools or build steps. There is no server-side execution and no build step; you hand over the finished output. Each upload becomes a deployment, and deployments can be linked to custom domains, with HTTPS certificates handled automatically according to the homepage.

## Deploying from terminal, code, or agents

The CLI deploys a directory with a single command (`npx @shipstatic/ship ./dist`). Anonymous deployments need no sign-up, are public, and expire in 3 days, and the output includes a claim URL to keep the site permanently. With an API key or deploy token, users can manage deployments, domains, and tokens; set labels; pass `--ttl` for expiring previews; password-protect a deployment; and pipe output with `-q` for scripting. The SDK works in Node and the browser and supports retries, events, and a custom fetch.

## Domains and versions

Domains can be reserved, linked to a deployment, validated, and verified, and the CLI returns the DNS records to add. Every version of a site is saved, so a previous deployment can be restored.

## Other surfaces and platform use

Beyond the CLI and SDK, ShipStatic lists an MCP server, an agent skill file (SKILL.md), a VS Code extension, a Gemini CLI extension, a GitHub Action, and an n8n node. A separate platforms offering lets other products publish sites under their own name, with subdomains and customer-owned domains; its pricing is arranged directly with the vendor.
