# ThruWire

> An AI checkpoint system that connects humans and agents to a shared model of work, with checkpoints requiring artifacts and receipts.

ThruWire is an AI checkpoint system built by co-founders Seth Rosen and Josh Rosen. It connects humans and agents to a shared model of the work so they can coordinate and iterate without depending on any single agent, harness, or factory. Agents such as Codex and Claude connect through MCP or the SDK, and ThruWire Studio shows what they read, create, and complete.

## What It Is

ThruWire treats the work itself as a system of record, separate from the models, tools, and people that execute it. A directed acyclic graph connects the work and its dependencies. Checkpoints set deterministic boundaries around nondeterministic execution: each one tells an agent what it must prove (a required artifact, with receipts and provenance) rather than how to work. Between checkpoints, agents are free to reason, delegate, and use tools.

## How the Workflow Runs

Users describe the work they want done, such as software, data, marketing, or CRM jobs, and ThruWire builds a shared project or factory around it. Agents connect, take on tasks, and submit artifacts. In the illustrative Studio view, a submission is checked for schema, AI validation, and source relationships. It is rejected if a source is missing, then retried and passed once the receipt is attached. Humans can review the work, steer agents, and change checkpoints while the system runs, so later agents benefit from the changes. The product page also describes asking an agent to build apps from a project's work, such as a conversation explorer.

## Developer Surface

The developer portal describes a REST API (OpenAPI 3.1), an MCP endpoint with OAuth discovery, and a code-mode interface where enabled. Access is currently arranged with the team. The site states that no public sandbox, self-serve API key process, or published CLI is currently claimed.
