0xff
0xff is an independent engineering lab building foundational computing primitives for an agentic software stack. It focuses on how systems are named, connected, executed, isolated, shared, and trusted, turning filesystems, networks, runtimes, sandboxes, identities, and capabilities into collaboration surfaces for humans and agents.

Products & Services
An alpha projected filesystem that turns APIs, services, and data sources into local files and directories. It uses FUSE/NFS-oriented filesystem access, Wasm-sandboxed providers, capability-gated callouts, and transactional/write-oriented roadmap work; current integrations include GitHub, DNS, arXiv, Docker, Linear, SQLite, and additional provider work.
A Wasm-based framework for deterministic peer-to-peer agent interactions. Content-addressed programs run as restricted capability-based state machines; participants negotiate, execute, and produce cryptographically verifiable receipts.
A public collection of 0xff.ai skills, including the Fable 5 emulator, published in the 0xff-ai GitHub organization.
An open-source TypeScript changelog bot that drafts area-grouped entries for pull requests and uses a merge gate.
Market Position
0xff positions itself as a small independent engineering lab working on load-bearing primitives rather than a conventional application vendor. omnifs differentiates by presenting many APIs and services through a filesystem interface, reducing dependence on separate SDKs, auth flows, pagination models, and response schemas; its conceptual lineage is 9P/Plan 9 updated with FUSE, Wasm, and capability controls. arena0 is positioned around deterministic, verifiable peer-to-peer agent execution rather than blockchain or centralized coordination.
Founding Story
0xff says computing foundations were built assuming intelligence existed only on the human side of the interface; with agents on both ends, that assumption is broken. The lab was created to rework those foundations, deliberately staying small and close to the work so it can follow foundational questions and remain accountable to what it builds.
Target Markets
- AI-agent and agent-tool developers
- Software developers who integrate APIs, services, and data sources
- Teams and CI environments needing filesystem-based access or sandboxed runtimes
- Researchers and builders of verifiable peer-to-peer agent protocols
- Organizations needing self-hosted, capability-oriented infrastructure
- Let humans and agents access external services through ordinary filesystem tools such as cd, ls, cat, grep, find, jq, and scripts
- Cross-system data and state pipelines across APIs, repositories, tickets, containers, databases, and research sources
- Contract negotiation, work allocation, auctions, voting, games, and other multi-agent interactions
- Long-running self-hosted agent infrastructure
- Sandboxed execution and capability-controlled effects
- Verifiable collaboration where participants need shared execution evidence
