Market Position
Adalo positions itself as a visual no-code platform that combines AI generation with a true multi-screen canvas and one project that publishes to web plus native iOS and Android. Compared with Bubble, Glide, Softr, SAP Build Apps/AppGyver, and FlutterFlow, its differentiators are native app-store output, an included relational database, visual control over every screen, and flat plans without per-action metering; its tradeoff is a more opinionated no-code environment than code-first tools.

Board of Directors
Founding Story
Adalo was started in St. Louis in 2018 by David Adkin, Ben Haefele, and Jeremy Blalock to remove the technical barrier that kept most people from turning useful ideas into software. The founders' initial vision was an app builder as approachable as making a slide deck: a visual, no-code canvas that could produce real mobile apps rather than prototypes only.
Business Model
Revenue Model
Tiered SaaS subscriptions for app building and publishing, with a free plan for building/testing and paid monthly or annual plans for publishing, editors, integrations, collaboration, and enterprise needs. Adalo also sells full-service custom app design/build/maintenance through its enterprise offering. Listed plans emphasize flat pricing rather than usage-based overages.
Pricing Tiers
500 records per app, unlimited screens and test apps, one editor, hosted Postgres, unlimited app actions, previewing, and Ada beta access.
One published app, web publishing, automated app-store publishing, custom domain, custom fonts, no Adalo branding, one editor, and Ada.
Two published apps, five editors, custom integrations/actions, design versions, geolocation, analytics, formulas, push notifications, and Ada.
Five published apps, ten editors, priority support, Xano integration, App & Collections API, version history, white labeling, and Ada.
