The agent-substrate organization develops Agent Substrate, an open-source Kubernetes-native runtime for deploying AI agents at scale. The project provides a high-density control plane that multiplexes large numbers of stateful agent actors onto shared physical infrastructure using sub-second suspend/resume operations. It supports multiple sandbox technologies including gVisor and microVMs, and integrates with frameworks like LangChain, Claude Code, and the Model Context Protocol. The project participates in the CNCF ecosystem and hosts a weekly community meeting for technical discussion.
