Founding Story
Sajith Wickramasekara and Ashu Singhal founded Benchling in 2012 while at MIT. They observed that scientists were burdened by paper notebooks and legacy software that couldn't handle the complexity of modern biology, and aimed to create a 'Google Docs for biology' to modernize research.
