Products & Services
Serverless developer platform for running, managing, and monitoring headless Chromium browser instances at scale. Features include stealth mode, CAPTCHA handling, session logging, autoscaling, Session Inspector, Session Replay, proxy rotation, and enterprise-grade reliability. Supports thousands of concurrent browsers with advanced anti-detection capabilities.
Open-source browser automation framework that translates natural language into browser actions. Built for the AI era with self-healing capabilities, multi-dimensional adaptability, and support for Playwright, Puppeteer, and Bun. Features include automatic caching, CSS selector support, and operates natively at the Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP) level. Available for Python and Node.js.
No-code tool that transforms plain English instructions into executable browser workflows and generates Stagehand scripts. Empowers non-technical users (analysts, marketers, operators) to build AI-powered web automations without writing code.
Standardized bridge for large language models (GPT-4, Claude, Gemini) to interact with live web browsers. Enables LLMs to control browsers, take screenshots, extract structured data, and perform automated actions with atomic precision. Features include session management, stealth capabilities, vision support, and context persistence.
Market Position
Browserbase positions itself as the 'Stripe for browser automation' - a developer-first primitive infrastructure platform. Unlike traditional web scraping tools (Apify, ScrapingBee, Bright Data) or legacy frameworks (Selenium, Puppeteer), Browserbase is specifically built for AI agents with serverless architecture, achieving 94% success rates versus 60-70% for basic implementations. It's 40-60% less expensive than self-managed infrastructure when accounting for developer time. The company emphasizes reliability, speed (under 2.3 seconds average response), enterprise compliance (SOC 2, HIPAA), and AI-native features like natural language control and self-healing automation. Positioned between 'smarter than Selenium, safer than an autonomous agent.'

Board of Directors
Founding Story
Paul Klein IV founded Browserbase in January 2024 after identifying a critical gap in browser infrastructure for AI agents. During his time at Stream Club and Twilio, he worked extensively with headless browsers for live streaming and recognized the painful complexity of managing browser instances at scale. By late 2023, he realized no existing solution provided AI agents with reliable web browser access at scale. The company was founded on the thesis that AI agents would require great browser infrastructure, similar to how Stripe, Twilio, and Vercel became primitives for payments, communications, and deployment.
Business Model
Revenue Model
Usage-based SaaS model with tiered subscription plans. Customers pay a fixed monthly fee that includes base credits for browser hours and proxy data, followed by overage charges. Core platform is paid while Stagehand SDK, Director, and MCP Server are free to drive cloud platform adoption. Additional revenue from enterprise features like SSO, HIPAA compliance, and custom data retention.
Pricing Tiers
1 concurrent browser, 1 browser hour included, 0 GB proxy data (bring your own proxies), 7-day data retention, 15 minutes per session, 5 browser creation rate limit per minute, 1 project, email support only
25 concurrent browsers, 100 browser hours included ($0.12/hour overage), 1 GB proxies included ($12/GB overage), 30-day data retention, 6-hour session duration, 25 browser creation rate limit per minute, 2 projects, Basic Stealth Mode, auto CAPTCHA solving, standard support
100 concurrent browsers, 500 browser hours included ($0.10/hour overage), 5 GB proxies included ($10/GB overage), 30-day data retention, 6-hour session duration, 50 browser creation rate limit per minute, 5 projects, Basic Stealth Mode, auto CAPTCHA solving, priority support
