Browserbase
Browserbase provides browser infrastructure for AI agents and applications, enabling them to autonomously read, write, and perform tasks on the web. Their mission is to automate all manual tasks on the web with AI.
Founding Story
Paul Klein IV founded Browserbase in January 2024 after identifying a critical gap in browser infrastructure for AI agents. During his time at Stream Club and Twilio, he worked extensively with headless browsers for live streaming and recognized the painful complexity of managing browser instances at scale. By late 2023, he realized no existing solution provided AI agents with reliable web browser access at scale. The company was founded on the thesis that AI agents would require great browser infrastructure, similar to how Stripe, Twilio, and Vercel became primitives for payments, communications, and deployment.
