Products & Services
Open-source CLI that keeps agents, skills, rules, hooks, MCP servers, settings, and related specifications in .agnostic-ai and generates native configuration for supported AI coding tools. It can initialize projects, create specs, import existing configurations, sync outputs, check drift, and install via Homebrew, npm, Go, Windows installer, or binaries.
Open-source testing framework for Bash scripts with assertions, mocks, spies, data providers, snapshots, parallel/sharded execution, coverage, and CI-friendly JUnit, TAP, JSON, HTML, and Markdown reports.
A Lisp dialect and functional language that compiles to PHP. It offers macros, persistent data structures, PHP interoperability, recursion, a REPL, and deployment on PHP hosts. Chema is listed as a core maintainer; the project was created with Jens Haase.
Web application for independent gyms and class-based fitness businesses: member bookings, timetables, waiting lists, attendance, payment status, and progress tracking.
Market Position
Chemaclass is an individual builder rather than a conventional venture-backed software company. Its positioning combines senior software-engineering and team-leadership expertise, educational writing, open-source products, and direct-to-client web work. agnostic-ai differentiates by treating portable specs as the source of truth and generating native configuration across a broad set of AI CLIs; bashunit competes with other Bash test libraries while emphasizing modern developer experience and broad test/CI features; Phel offers a PHP-native alternative for developers interested in Lisp and functional programming.
Leadership
Founders
Jose M. Valera Reales (Chema)
Product Engineer and software developer with 15+ years building software and 5+ years leading teams. His CV lists software roles at Kombo, Purpose Green, ABOUT YOU, Lautsprecher Teufel, Seven Senders, Move24, Webgears, Falk medizinische Datenverarbeitung, LEVERADE, and Tecnoavanza; he specializes in layered architecture, modular monoliths, TDD, SOLID, and engineering leadership.
Founding Story
Chemaclass is presented as Chema's personal home for building software, teams, and ideas rather than as a separately incorporated company. His work grew from professional software development, open-source experimentation, writing, and practical products: he describes open-source pet projects as a way to learn, set his own roadmap, and share useful software. The Phel project began after he encountered it in June 2020 and wanted to apply functional-programming and software-design ideas in a PHP-native language; bashunit grew from frustration with manually testing Bash automation.
