    Clerk.io was founded in 2011 by Hans-Kristian Bjerregaard, who started his career working at Unisport, an online football retailer, as part of the early 4-person growth team. During his time at Unisport, Bjerregaard discovered that manual product discovery work was a 'growth killer' for the e-commerce business. He combined his computer science background with his e-commerce experience to create an automated tool that requires no maintenance for store owners.
