Founding Story
ClickUp was founded in 2017 by Zeb Evans and Alex Yurkowski. It was originally created as an internal tool because the founders believed productivity was broken due to teams having to keep track of too many tools in separate ecosystems. Evans had entrepreneurial background with previous ventures including Fast Followerz (social media automation) and Mimri (social media platform). Yurkowski brought technical expertise as a former IBM engineer.
