Products & Services
Subscription cloud and AI cost-intelligence platform that ingests spend and usage, allocates it across business dimensions, and supports unit economics, forecasting, anomaly detection, and optimization.
Allocation engine that combines billing and telemetry data to allocate taggable and untaggable spend, including shared resources, multi-tenant architectures, and Kubernetes.
Ingestion framework and common data model for bringing cloud, SaaS, AI-provider, and other cost sources into CloudZero, including sources without a native adapter.
Free tool for predicting and optimizing cloud-infrastructure costs.
Market Position
CloudZero positions itself as an engineering-led cloud and AI cost-intelligence platform rather than a bill-reporting tool: it emphasizes allocation of 100% of operational spend, including shared and untagged resources, and ties costs to customers, products, features, and unit economics. Comparable alternatives include IBM Apptio Cloudability, Broadcom CloudHealth, Harness Cloud Cost Management, IBM Kubecost, Finout, and Vantage; CloudZero differentiates around granular business-context allocation and AI outcome attribution.

Board of Directors
Founding Story
Peterson and Manger identified a large, growing, underserved problem in cloud operations and reliability while at Veracode. They initially described the category as Serverless Reliability Management, built an open-source AWS Reactor and an invite-only SaaS beta, and then focused the company on helping teams understand and act on the cost and reliability consequences of engineering decisions.
Business Model
Revenue Model
B2B SaaS subscription for the CloudZero platform, sold through custom quotes and a tiered pricing model. CloudZero says pricing is predictable and does not vary month to month with spend spikes; customers also receive FinOps-account-manager support.
Pricing Tiers
Tiered pricing; includes notifications and workflow integrations and MCP integration.
