Founding Story
CocoIndex was started to solve the problem of keeping AI context fresh and reliable. The founders, former Google engineers, recognized that traditional batch processing for RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) was too slow and expensive for long-horizon AI agents, leading to the creation of an incremental, Rust-based engine.
Business Model
Revenue Model
Open source core (Apache 2.0). Likely moving towards a SaaS/Enterprise model for managed services and advanced features.
Pricing Tiers
Open source, self-hosted, full access to core engine.
