Conductor
Building the primary user interface for human AI-managers. Conductor is a Mac app that lets developers run a team of coding agents (Claude Code and Codex) in parallel, treating each agent as an isolated workspace with automated git worktree management.
Founding Story
The founders started Conductor to create an elite, high-standard work environment where they could do their best work in person. They previously built Melty, an open-source AI code editor. After working on Melty through Y Combinator's Summer 2024 batch, they evolved the product into Conductor. The company culture is described as being like an elite sports team, with the team working in person approximately five days a week in San Francisco. They believe that as coding agents evolve from junior to senior-level tasks, the AI orchestrator will become the central tool for software development, and their goal is to define and win the AI orchestrator product category.
Leadership
Founders
Charlie Holtz
CEO. Previously worked at Replicate where he led the Hacker in Residence team and led growth initiatives. Before that, he was a Quantitative Researcher at Point72 on the Cognitive and Decision Sciences team. He also worked as a Forward Deployed Software Engineer at ActionIQ and as a Research Assistant at Brown University in the Serre Lab focusing on computational vision. Education: BS with Honors in Computational Cognitive Neuroscience from Brown University, and participated in the Design Discovery program at Harvard University Graduate School of Design. Met co-founder Jackson de Campos playing ultimate frisbee at Brown University.
Jackson de Campos
CTO. Previously worked at Netflix where he built machine learning infrastructure for show artwork and data infrastructure. Met co-founder Charlie Holtz playing ultimate frisbee at Brown University.

Business Model
Revenue Model
Free product model - Conductor is completely free with no subscriptions, tiered pricing, or feature gates. Users provide their own Claude Code login (via Pro/Max plans or API keys) and pay AI providers directly for usage. The orchestration tool itself has no cost. The company raised venture capital funding to support development.
Pricing Tiers
Complete access to all features. Users bring their own Claude Code or OpenAI API credentials and pay providers directly for AI usage.
