Datadog, Inc.
Datadog provides a SaaS-based data analytics and observability platform that integrates and automates infrastructure monitoring, application performance monitoring, log management, real-user monitoring, and security to provide unified, real-time observability for an organization's entire technology stack.
Founding Story
Datadog was founded in 2010 in New York City by Olivier Pomel and Alexis Lê-Quôc, who previously worked together at Wireless Generation building data systems for K-12 teachers. They saw a significant gap in the market for comprehensive cloud infrastructure monitoring and created Datadog to reduce friction between developer and systems administration teams by providing a unified observability platform. Both founders are French natives who met as undergraduates at Ecole Centrale Paris.
