Products & Services
Free iPhone, iPad and Mac app for local and offline AI image generation and editing. It supports downloaded open-weight models, inpainting, outpainting, infinite canvas, image-to-video, style transformation, and local LoRA training.
Optional managed or self-hosted inference for users whose devices are too weak, need larger models, or want to save local battery and storage. Server-Offload is open source and Cloud Compute runs the same published Docker-based inference image.
Paid tier providing higher cloud-compute limits, use of personal LoRAs with cloud compute, on-demand compute boosts and Privacy Pass.
Swift package for integrating open-weight image and video models into production apps, with local, self-hosted-cloud and Draw Things Cloud execution options.
Market Position
Draw Things differentiates from cloud-first image generators such as Midjourney and DALL·E by running locally and offline with privacy and no per-image local inference cost. Against local tools such as AUTOMATIC1111 and ComfyUI, it emphasizes a polished native Apple experience, a custom Metal/Neural-Engine inference stack, broad iPhone/iPad/Mac availability and integrated model downloading, editing and LoRA workflows. Local Code similarly competes with hosted coding agents by packaging capable models and tools locally in an Apple-sandboxed app.
Leadership
Founders
Liu Liu
Independent iOS and systems developer; wrote the iOS app for Snapchat (2014–2020) and helped found Facebook Videos (2013). He released the first Draw Things app in November 2022 and is the public founder/developer associated with the company.
Executive Team
Liu Liu
Founder and developer
iOS and systems developer; former Snapchat iOS app engineer (2014–2020) and co-founder of Facebook Videos (2013).
Founding Story
Draw Things began as Liu Liu's effort to make Stable Diffusion practical on an iPhone. The initial vision was to bring powerful image generation to ordinary mobile hardware while keeping inference local for privacy and avoiding dependence on cloud GPUs; the project later expanded across iPhone, iPad and Mac and added optional cloud offload.
