Founding Story
Ente was born out of founder Vishnu Mohandas's need for a reliable, E2EE archival solution after feeling restricted at Google and struggling with mainstream services like iCloud and Dropbox. He quit Google in early 2020, moved back to Kerala, India, and initially worked on a hardware photo server (orma.in) before pivoting to the current cloud-based model.
