Founding Story
In early 2012, co-founder Nir Polak had his credit card information stolen, which prompted him to realize that cybersecurity lacked the behavioral monitoring tools used for fraud detection. He identified that existing expert-system limitations and high storage costs prevented effective behavioral analytics. After consulting potential customers, he teamed up with Sylvain Gil and Domingo Mihovilovic to build a platform that applies machine learning to user behavior, launching Exabeam in 2013.
