Founding Story
Founded in 2020 by Abel Mengistu and Alex Greaves, who met while working on the Google Maps team at Google. They started FlutterFlow after their first startup, Taste Inc. (a restaurant recommendation app), failed during the pandemic. During that experience, they realized they spent too much time on backend complexity for what was essentially a simple app, which inspired them to build a platform to make app development easier and faster. They launched a working version of the product within a few months of starting the company.
