Founding Story
Max Lytvyn and Alex Shevchenko met at the International Christian University in Ukraine. After their first startup, MyDropBox (a plagiarism detector), was acquired by Blackboard in 2007, they teamed up with Dmytro Lider to launch Grammarly in 2009. The vision was to help people communicate better using automated grammar and spell-checking, which evolved into a multi-billion dollar AI platform.
