Founding Story
Harness was founded in 2017, nine months after Jyoti Bansal sold AppDynamics to Cisco for $3.7 billion. The idea emerged when AppDynamics customers frequently cited the process of delivering rapid software changes as a major unresolved problem. Harness launched from stealth as the first company spun out of BIG Labs startup studio to make continuous delivery accessible to every business.
