Founding Story
iFLYTEK was founded by university classmates at the University of Science and Technology of China in 1999. The initial vision was to commercialize research in speech technology and build a company centered on speech recognition, synthesis and human-computer interaction; the founders subsequently held a strategy conference focused on speech technology and established early research labs with USTC and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
