Founding Story
LabelMe was created by Kentaro Wada in 2016 while he was a student at The University of Tokyo. It was initially developed to support the JSK Robotics Lab's participation in the Amazon Picking Challenge, where robots needed to be taught to identify and pick objects in a warehouse environment.
