Founding Story
Lanes was started in response to a shift from serial, keystroke-oriented software work to task-oriented work performed by multiple AI agents. Its initial vision was a native macOS workspace where developers could run several real CLI agents in parallel, each with its own issue, terminal, branch and Git worktree, without losing oversight or letting sessions collide.
