Products & Services
AI-powered full-stack web application builder that enables users to create production-ready websites and web apps through natural language conversation. Includes frontend, backend, database, authentication, and deployment capabilities.
Open-source command-line interface tool for AI-assisted code generation. One of the fastest-growing repositories on GitHub with over 52,000 stars. Continues to be maintained separately from the commercial Lovable platform.
Market Position
Lovable positions itself as 'the last piece of software' and the fastest-growing software startup in history. Unlike traditional AI code editors (Cursor, GitHub Copilot), Lovable is a full-stack application builder that generates complete, production-ready web applications from natural language. Key differentiators include: (1) No-code/low-code approach targeting the 99% who cannot code, while still serving experienced developers, (2) Full-stack capabilities including frontend, backend, database, and deployment in a single platform, (3) Native Supabase integration for backend, (4) Vibe coding approach focusing on describing intent rather than writing code, (5) Rapid time-to-market with prototypes in hours instead of weeks, (6) Both individual and enterprise-focused with Fortune 500 customers, (7) Record-breaking growth achieving $200M ARR faster than any software company in history. Competes with Replit, Bolt.new, v0, Cursor, and traditional development tools.

Founding Story
Co-founders Anton Osika and Fabian Hedin worked together at Depict. In mid-2023, Osika created the open-source project GPT Engineer, which became a massive GitHub success with over 50,000 stars. They decided to commercialize this vision and founded Lovable (initially called GPT Engineer App) in November 2023. After two unsuccessful launch attempts in early 2024 due to brand disconnect and market readiness, they rebranded from GPT Engineer to Lovable in December 2024, added key integrations like Supabase, and successfully scaled the product. The mission was to build 'the last piece of software' - software that creates other software - and democratize software creation for the 99% of people who cannot code.
