Products & Services
Open-source AGPL-3.0 software delivery runner (also available under the Sustainable Use License) that claims ai-ready GitHub Issues, implements them in isolated worktrees, runs tests, opens pull requests, performs independent review and repair, merges the reviewed head and publishes tagged releases. It runs on the user's machine or server and uses the user's model provider credentials.
Managed hosted runner using the same GitHub-native workflow as the self-hosted core. It provisions infrastructure, connects selected repositories, includes model usage within a monthly token allowance, and takes Issues through independent review, exact-head merge and release.
The Orbi command-line package distributed through PyPI; the repository documentation says it requires Python 3.14 or newer and installs as the `orbi` command.
Market Position
Orbi positions itself as a software-delivery system rather than an in-editor coding assistant: unlike tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor, it starts from a backlog Issue and continues through isolated implementation, independent review, repair, merge and tagged release. Its public comparisons and cost page also place it against OpenCode, Claude Code, Devin and Factory; the differentiators it emphasizes are open-source/self-hostable execution, GitHub as the system of record, an independent review agent, exact-head merge and a release step.
Leadership
Founders
Lawrence (Larry) Liu
GitHub identifies him as the builder of Orbi and says his earlier career was in JVM technologies including Grails, Groovy and Java, spanning trading systems, web applications and developer tools. His GitHub profile lists Singapore and the Lowcode business affiliation.

Lawrence (Larry) Liu
Founder and builder
Builds Orbi and Orbi Cloud. His public GitHub profile describes prior work in Grails, Groovy and Java, including trading systems, web apps and developer tools; it lists Singapore as his location.
Founding Story
The project was started around the idea that software agents should handle the complete delivery loop rather than stop after generating code or opening a pull request. Orbi's stated initial vision is GitHub Issues in and tagged releases out, with GitHub Issues, pull requests and releases serving as the durable record instead of a separate task database.
Business Model
Revenue Model
The self-hosted core is free under AGPL-3.0 or the Sustainable Use License, with users supplying their own model key and paying their model provider directly. Orbi monetizes Orbi Cloud through fixed monthly subscriptions that include a monthly token allowance; the Cloud plans do not charge per-token overages, and the first three successful merged deliveries are free.
Pricing Tiers
Free under AGPL-3.0 or the Sustainable Use License; bring your own model key.
400M tokens per month, one repository, approximately 80–210 merged deliveries per month, and three free merged deliveries to start.
1.2B tokens per month, five repositories, approximately 240–630 merged deliveries per month, and three free merged deliveries to start.
