Market Position
Marco's current flagship, AgentBox, is positioned as a self-hosted and infrastructure-flexible alternative to conventional cloud-only agent environments: it can run on Docker, a user's own machine or supported clouds while exposing the full VM, browser, tunnels, IDE and Git workflow. Its public provider list overlaps with developer-sandbox platforms such as Daytona and E2B, while its differentiators are bring-your-own-hardware operation, multi-agent orchestration, checkpointing and a local-first workflow.

Executive Team
Marco D'Alia
Founder, founding engineer, developer and fractional CTO
Marco's official profile says he has more than 20 years of programming experience and more than 10 years of professional software-development and design experience. Public profiles describe him as a former Product Architect at Upwork, former founder of 3DRacers and co-founder of Commercialista.com; he is based in Lisbon.
Founding Story
Marco describes himself as a founder of two startups and says he has been programming for more than 20 years, beginning with a QBASIC word game. His projects grew from a desire to improve everyday services through software: digitizing professional discovery in Italy, turning a social-image experiment into a scalable application, and later combining 3D printing, Arduino and smartphones into a physical racing game. More recently, he built AgentBox to let developers run multiple coding agents in isolated local or cloud VMs.
Business Model
Revenue Model
AgentBox is distributed as an MIT-licensed open-source npm package/CLI and runs on users' local Docker, owned hardware or selected cloud providers. Marco's earlier products used service and lead-generation models: Commercialista.com and QuiAvvocato.com generated professional leads, while FbPoster.com sold high-quality prints through a printing partner and 3DRacers sold hardware/crowdfunding kits.
