Founding Story
SideGuide was founded in 2022 by Caleb Peffer, Nicolas Camara, and Eric Ciarla. Initially focused on developer tools (SideGuide), the team joined Y Combinator (S22) and launched Mendable.ai in 2023 to enable AI-powered search for documentation. They later expanded/pivoted to Firecrawl to solve the problem of high-quality web data scraping for AI agents.
