Omnara was founded in 2025 by Ishaan Sehgal and Kartik Sarangmath, who were building AI infrastructure at Microsoft and Meta. They were frustrated by the inability to keep coding agents running when they stepped away from their desks, leading them to create a platform that bridges the terminal with mobile and web interfaces.
