Superagent is a free, open-source macOS home for coding agents: it puts a persistent chat beside a real browser, files, and an iOS Simulator so users can watch an agent build and test software. Founding Story
Pung says he started Superagent because Claude Code produced a wall of terminal text, forgot context after the window closed, and left users switching apps to see whether work actually changed. The initial vision was to give the coding agent a computer: a Mac-native-feeling screen, a browser using the user's logged-in sessions, an iPhone Simulator, files, and a phone companion, while keeping everything local and open source.
