Market Position
Pyth positions itself as a first-party, source-direct alternative to legacy market-data vendors and downstream oracle aggregators. It combines institutional publishers, transparent aggregation, cross-chain delivery and a unified API, competing in decentralized oracle infrastructure with Chainlink and RedStone and in institutional market data with incumbent vendors such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv/LSEG and other packaged-feed providers. Its differentiation is low latency, source attribution, broad on-chain distribution and a transparent subscription model.

Board of Directors
Founding Story
Pyth began in April 2021 as a collaboration among trading firms and exchanges that wanted to publish high-frequency, first-party market data on a blockchain rather than leave it behind closed, fragmented distribution systems. The Association was formed by Pyth Network participants to advance the network's development, research, education and technology and to help create a decentralized, censorship-resistant data future.
Business Model
Revenue Model
Subscription and licensing revenue from Pyth Pro and institutional market-data access; protocol and on-chain product revenue from Pyth Price Feeds, Entropy, Express Relay and the Data Marketplace. Pyth says product revenue flows to the Pyth DAO, which uses treasury processes for the PYTH Reserve.
