Founding Story
Qt was conceived by Haavard Nord and Eirik Chambe-Eng on a park bench in Trondheim, Norway, in 1990. They founded Trolltech in 1994 to commercialize the framework, aiming to solve the difficulty of writing software for multiple platforms.
