Founding Story
Speakeasy was founded to solve the 'final mile problem' of API integration. While companies like Stripe and Twilio have the resources to build great developer experiences, most API teams struggle with manual SDK creation, stale documentation, and technical debt. The founders experienced this problem firsthand at both startups and large companies. Before the official launch in June 2023, the team had already built 4,000 SDKs, starting with a team of nine people who were passionate about building developer tools.
