Products & Services
Open-source, Rust-based DevOps agent that runs locally, in terminals, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud environments to build, secure, deploy, debug, and maintain production infrastructure.
Major CLI release positioned as an open-source DevOps agent for developers who want to ship; it supports infrastructure code generation, Kubernetes debugging, CI/CD configuration, and deployment automation.
A long-running, single-binary runtime that installs as a system service, monitors applications and infrastructure 24/7, executes scheduled tasks, sends notifications through configured channels, and automatically fixes safe issues.
Network-level security and policy layer using a transparent proxy and Cedar policies to restrict and validate agent network operations.
Market Position
Stakpak positions itself as an open-source, machine-local DevOps and SRE agent rather than a general coding agent or a locked-in PaaS. Its differentiators are autonomous 24/7 operation, production-focused workflows, secret substitution, network-level Warden guardrails, auditability, and the ability to run on the customer's machines. Relevant alternatives and competitors include AWS DevOps Agent, Resolve AI and other AI incident-response/SRE agents, while traditional DevOps platforms and coding agents such as Claude Code address adjacent parts of the workflow.
Leadership
Founders
George Fahmy
Founder and CEO; software development engineer focused on DevOps and infrastructure automation. Previously an early DevOps engineer at Levelset (acquired by Procore), a founding engineer and security lead at Liquidity Network, and part of the founding team at Thndr (YC S20).
Executive Team
George Fahmy
Founder and CEO (through Stakpak's 2026 joining of Vercel)
Software development engineer and DevOps specialist; previously early DevOps engineer at Levelset, founding engineer/security lead at Liquidity Network, and member of Thndr's founding team.
Founding Story
George Fahmy started Stakpak after seeing at software companies in Europe and the United States that infrastructure work was a recurring chore requiring specialized DevOps expertise. He began working on the idea in 2021 and went full-time in 2022; the team experimented with large language models for DevOps tasks after ChatGPT's release. Stakpak initially bootstrapped from Egypt for about two years around the vision of self-driving infrastructure, then raised venture capital and expanded to San Francisco.
