Founding Story
After selling Photojojo, recovering from leukemia, and becoming a science-fiction writer, Amit Gupta encountered the loneliness and writer's block of writing. Gupta and fellow writer and former Parse founder James Yu built an AI creative partner so writers could bounce ideas off it, stay in flow, and automate rote work such as treatments and revisions. They initially built on GPT-3, found paying customers, and raised capital to hire a small team.
