SuperPlane Inc.
SuperPlane is an open-source AI software factory and automation/control plane for engineering teams. It finds high-confidence routine work, runs coding agents with deterministic guardrails, coordinates source control, CI, review and approvals, and returns verified, review-ready pull requests while keeping human judgment in the loop.

Products & Services
Apache-2.0 software factory and durable event-driven workflow engine that coordinates coding agents, Git, CI/CD, observability, incident response, infrastructure, approvals and review. It is available for self-hosting on local infrastructure, cloud or Kubernetes.
Managed beta service with managed runners, Git-backed Apps, visual workflow canvas, shareable workflows and a built-in platform-engineering agent for building graphs, debugging executions and managing app repository files.
The production-oriented software-factory release for teams: shared standards, task readiness/confidence scoring, parallel agent environments, verification evidence, retry loops and a team-wide board from backlog to reviewed PR.
Developer and agent interfaces for interacting with workflows; external coding agents can use the CLI and Model Context Protocol while human engineers use the console and generative UI.
Market Position
SuperPlane positions itself as an open-source, model-agnostic software factory/control plane for the team-wide loop from backlog to verified pull request, rather than a single-user coding-agent session, a CI pipeline or a collection of scripts. Its differentiators are durable cross-tool orchestration, explicit guardrails and approvals, verification evidence, self-hosting and support for multiple agent/model providers. The broader comparison set includes coding-agent products such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor and Claude Code, and DevOps/platform automation products such as Harness, Humanitec, Port, Spacelift and Temporal; SuperPlane combines elements of those categories around supervised agent-driven engineering workflows.

Founding Story
SuperPlane grew out of the founders' experience building and scaling Semaphore. They saw that AI was making code generation faster while the bottleneck remained the operational work around code—review, testing, deployment, incident response, approvals and verification—so they set out to build an open-source, programmable control plane that lets agents handle routine engineering work without removing policy, visibility or human decisions.
Business Model
Revenue Model
Hybrid subscription and usage model: organization/user subscriptions plus usage charges for sandbox time and model tokens. Customers can bring their own model subscriptions/API keys without token markup; enterprise customers can pay for custom integrations, access controls, self-hosting and support.
